Tribute to the Children of Kindertransport

Holocaust Museum LA brings traveling exhibit to San Jose City Hall January 24th-27th.

As the Nazis took control over Germany and Austria in the early days of World War II, the government of Great Britain developed a program called Kindertransport with the goal of evacuating Jewish children and bringing them to safety. Over the course of the program over 10,000 children were rescued and placed in British foster homes and schools. In many cases, these children were the only members of their families who survived the Holocaust.

Childhood Left At The Station is a traveling exhibit from Holocaust Museum LA, focusing on the stories of ten children who were shuttled to safety under the Kindertransport program. The exhibit will be on display for public viewing in the City Hall tower lobby from January 24th through January 27th. Don't miss your chance to see this important exhibition.
