The Annual Fund Campaign is our primary opportunity for families to participate in the continued success of our school by helping to bridge the gap left by state and local funding. Your gift supports existing educational programs, new curriculum development, improves facilities, and essential needs of our school.
Open Enrollment & Sibling Applications
Open Enrollment for the Socrates Academy admissions lottery will begin on Friday, November 5th for the 2022-2023 school year. You do not need to fill out a form if your child is already attending Socrates Academy.

ALL SIBLINGS WHO ARE REQUESTING ENTRY INTO SOCRATES ACADEMY WILL NEED TO FILL OUT A SIBLING APPLICATION. The application will be posted on our admissions page and is due on Friday, January 21, 2022 | 3:00 p.m.

Open seats are filled by siblings first and then lottery applicants will fill the remainder of open seats if there are any available.

If you will not be returning next year please let us know via the Intent to Return Form located on our website.

Absences and Your Child

At the beginning of each week, we pull our attendance report. If your scholar has 3 or more UNEXCUSED absences you will receive a letter via mail. This letter informs you of our attendance policy.

At 6 unexcused absences, you will be asked to attend a meeting with the attendance committee so we can create a plan to support regular attendance.

As a reminder, for an absence to be excused you need to submit the excusal form at:

Community Service Club is sponsoring a School Supply Drive for the Socrates Staff 11/8-11/12

Most needed supplies are:
Expo Markers, Card Stock, Erasers, Staplers, Scotch Tape, Highlighters, Magnetic Hooks, White label stickers, Pencils, Glue sticks, Tissues, Masking Tape, Disposable Masks, Individual bags of snacks
 
Send in items with your scholars! Collection boxes will be in the front of each building. Don't forget to log 1 hour for each item you donate!

Donate items to Drama for volunteer hours!

Looking to donate old Halloween costumes?
If you have any costumes fitted for pre-teen to adult in size, Socrates Drama will gladly take them off your hands! We are especially interested in any fairy-tale themed props and costumes.5 hours per costume donated. Drop off in either office.

Drama also needs set paint!
We would appreciate any donations of new or used green, blue, yellow, red, white, or black wall/house paint. Please do not donate any paint that is older than 5 years. 5 hours for each paint bucket donated. Drop off in either office.
National Children's Book Week

Join us next week in celebrating National Children's Book Week! NJHS students will be posting a read aloud of a favorite story book each day next week on the Socrates Academy Instagram and Facebook feeds - don't forget to follow us! 
Comment on any of the posts with your student's favorite book title and earn a dress down pass! (don't forget to give us his/her name!)
Hand Print Glazed Thanksgiving Plates - November 17th

Join us for a thanksgiving themed pottery workshop where students will create plates with their handprints. This is a single day workshop with two options to choose from. Choose the option your child will attend when registering for this workshop. $15 per student includes all materials.

It's Fall Clean Up Time!
Earn double volunteer hours during this mini outdoor workday on Saturday, November 6th from 9am-1pm.

Hot lunch ordering ends Wednesday, November 10th at 11 pm. Any email inquiries must be made before 1 pm that day to receive a response before ordering closes. 
 
If you cannot see all menu items, then you have missed the step in which you email me your student's name, teacher name and grade. Once I have placed them in the appropriate lunch group, you will be able to view all available items.
