NGCP Anniversary Fellows Program
NGCP is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2022. As part of our anniversary celebrations, we are offering a remote-based, nine-month professional development program open to early career professionals, and graduate students, interested in gender equity and informal STEM education. Fellows will contribute to NGCP’s ongoing STEM and equity projects and will have diverse opportunities to learn and collaborate with the NGCP national network. Fellows will also participate in advanced training on gender equity and cultural responsiveness and receive ongoing mentorship and support. Application deadline is November 23, 2021.

She Has the Floor is a Women in STEM Speaker Series and collaboration of Pretty Brainy, JILA (one of the nation’s leading research institutes in the physical sciences), and JILA Excellence in Diversity and Inclusivity (JEDI) at the University of Colorado Boulder.

White House Calls for Public Input on the Advancing Equity in Science & Technology Ideation Challenge
The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) has announced “ The Time is Now: Advancing Equity in Science and Technology Ideation Challenge.” The American public is asked to share their insights on a central question, “ How can we guarantee all Americans can fully participate in, and contribute to, science and technology?” The Challenge gives all people, from students and skilled technical workers, scientists, and industry innovators, to equity advocates, creatives, education leaders, and the people who value and use science and technology in their everyday lives, the opportunity to help answer this question by directly submitting their own thoughts, ideas, or examples of existing or promising actions that expand equity and inclusion. Submissions deadline is November 19, 2021.

The Curiosity Podcast, created by two teenagers Naila Moloo and Kristina Arezina, strives to help future change-makers thrive by exposing youth to exponential technologies, new mindsets, and frameworks for tackling problems, while also introducing youth to STEM professionals from around the world, that are at the top of their fields.
