The Future of Work is Diverse, Inclusive, Just and Equitable

GlobalMindED closes the equity gap by creating a capable, diverse talent pipeline through connections to role models, mentors, internships for low-income students, returning adults, First Gen to college and inclusive leaders who teach them, work with them and hire them.
Why Hispanic Heritage Month Matters for Us All: Hispanic Star, Founded by Claudia Romo Edelman

Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15th, honoring the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Throughout this month we have shared positive contributions of Latinos and various cultures. We also are honored to share the work inclusive organizations are doing to support Latino cultures.

Today, we introduce you all to Hispanic Star, founded by GlobalMindED Inclusive Award winner and immigrant of Mexico, Claudia Romo Edelman.  Her vision is actualized through an inclusive platform that amplifies voices and advancement of Latinos in the United States. The symbol of the star reminds us of the unity and pride found within the Hispanic community as well as the bright leadership outside of that community with all others. Their programs/goals include:
  • Better Jobs: Promote full and productive employment and decent work for Hispanics,
  • Better Education: Ensure inclusive & equitable quality education for all Hispanics,
  • Better Health: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for Hispanics at all ages, and
  • Gender Equality: Hispanic women and girls must have equal rights and opportunities

Hispanic Star encourages us all to "amplify our voices, feel proud about our diversity, our values and our desire for progress. This is a moment not only to take a look at our impact and celebrate our heritage, but also a vehicle to unify all voices and come together." Hispanic Star's founder, Claudia Romo Edelman, dives deeper into why Hispanic Heritage Month is so important for all of us, Latinos and non-Latinos. To hear more about this, check out her article.

Additionally, throughout the month, Hispanic Star shares various resources, insights, data, and events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Engage in these opportunities to get involved and join in the celebration of the numerous, rich and rewarding Latino cultures!
