TCOA Fiscal Year 2023-2025 Multi-Year Plan Approved

Michigan’s 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) are regional, non-profit agencies created by federal and state legislation to respond to the needs of older adults in every local community. The Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) proudly serves Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties. Following a comprehensive needs assessment process, TCOA identified goals, objectives, and corresponding activities for the planning cycle.

On September 16, 2022, the Commission on Services to the Aging (CSA) approved the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2025 Multi-Year Plan (MYP) and the FY 2023 Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) for TCOA. All AAA's must operate under a MYP/AIP approved by the State CSA to ensure proper implementation of the mandates of the Older Americans Act and the Older Michiganians Act.

October Volunteer Spotlight: Keith Norris

Keith Norris joined the Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) team as a certified counselor in August. Keith was born in Pontiac Michigan and grew up in Kalamazoo. After graduating from MSU, Keith spent the next 30 years working in banking with a focus on investments.

Keith has been married to his wife Glynn for 44 years and together they enjoy spending time with their 2 daughters, sons-in-law, and 3 grandchildren.

Keith decided to volunteer for MMAP because so many of the individuals he assisted in the banking business were overwhelmed with Medicare. He recognized the need for accurate and accessible information about Medicare and knew MMAP would fill that need.
