Updates to the 16th Annual
BURNING RIVER 100/50M ENDURANCE RUN AND RELAY

REGISTRATION UPDATE
We are up 11% over last year at this point of the year. We are often asked about whether we will reach our participant caps. We do our best to have as many 100 mile and 50 mile participants in the race as possible. As the race continues to grow, we recommend not waiting to sign up. Relay teams have a firm cap and we do anticipate meeting this cap.

States/Countries represented - 29 states and 3 countries (Canada, Japan, Philippines)

CITY AND PARK PARTNERS
We'd like to thank the city of Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Summit Metro Parks for their partnership. We will continue to work with these partners as race details are finalized.

There are over 25 participants registered as fundraisers. You can support them or make a donation on your own behalf to support the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metro Parks HERE.

COURSE UPDATE
We are working with our partners at the park systems to finalize the exact course for the 2022 running of Burning River. The majority of the course will be as it was run in 2021. This includes the reroute we introduced in the first/last 4 miles of the 100-mile course due to a failed bridge on our traditional route. We encourage you to become familiar with the course. Please respect the trails during the Spring to avoid erosion or damage to the trails.

Here is a link to last year's course map. We will update the map as soon as the 2022 course is finalized with our partners at the parks.

AID STATION CAPTAINS
Most of our aid station captains will be returning this year! We could still use a few more aid station captains, so invite your family, friends, and businesses/organizations to join in on the fun! If you're interested, please reply to this email.

SPONSOR UPDATES
We are pleased to again welcome NovaCare Rehabilitation as presenting sponsor, to announce Skratch Labs as this year's hydration partner, and to welcome Vertical Runner back as a race sponsor. If you or your organization is interested in becoming a race sponsor, reply to this email.
