Happy May, Owl Families!

We are officially embarking on the final 19 days of the 2021-22 school year and believe it or not, there is still so much left to be done. For educators near and far, the last few days of any school year tend to be a sprint full of activity, energy, and excitement.

The end of the year brings so many emotions and I hope that you will spend some time identifying and naming each of them. For me, these are some of the most prominent....

I am PROUD of the accomplishments that we have experienced this year.

We worked as a family system to grow and support our Owls;
We joined forces with local business sponsors to strengthen our community relations;
We celebrated watching our Kindergarteners formally begin their school career;
We collaborated to continue full operation of our school during the 2nd year of a pandemic.

I am OVERWHELMED with the support our community has shown throughout the year.

We raised the most money that we have ever raised at our recent Gala;
We welcomed over 100 new Owls to our school;
We have given tours to almost 150 potential new families (who were introduced to Aspen Ridge because of YOU);

I am NOSTALGIC as this year starts coming to an end.

We will watch our 8th graders move on to high school;
We will see some of our most treasured teachers find new homes around the nation as they continue to grow their families and build their lives;
We celebrate the success of our first year teachers (you only get one chance for this in a lifetime);
We will say goodbye to some of our dearest families as they find new school families, new home addresses, and for some, new states/countries.

I continue to be in AWE on a daily basis.

We GET to live each and every day in a strong, positive, school culture surrounded by people that we care for;
We celebrate our students for not only their academic successes, but their social, emotional, and behavioral growth;
We are surrounded by a community that continues to show up to support our students, our staff, and our families;
We continue to look outside of our own building to show that we are a part of a community that we believe in and want to add value to;
We identify our challenges and struggles, knowing that by naming them and reflecting on them, we will only continue to grow stronger...together.

As these last 19 days continue to come and go, I am full of JOY and GRATITUDE, knowing that we are living to our fullest, that we are supporting our Owls as they become themselves, and that we continue to be a part of an upward spiral of connection and gratitude.

Gratitude is an emotion that reflects our deep appreciation for what we value, what brings meaning to our lives, and what makes us feel connected to ourselves and others. Gratitude makes us appreciate the value of something, and when we appreciate the value of something, we extract more benefits from it; we're less likely to take it for granted.

Enjoy these last days of school and soak up this stage in your Owl's educational career. It goes by fast. Don't blink.

Three Cheers for Our ARPS Owl of the Month

Mrs. Celine Todd

Mrs. Celine Todd joined Aspen Ridge earlier this year under the title of Business Office Support. She has been an integral part in helping to ensure school operations run smoothly and efficiently. Even more so, she has been the glue in holding our finances and record keeping together as we transitioned Business Mangers recently.

As an Aspen Ridge parent, employee, morning driveline fixture, and volunteer, Celine will never be found without a smile or a positive disposition.

Help us celebrate Celine as she holds the most recent title of Owl of the Month. Not only is she well deserving, but she helps bring out the best in all!

Lost...yet Found!

Are you missing any jackets, water bottles or sweaters at your house? There is a HUGE probability that we found it! Check your closets and the back seats of your cars, then drop by to see if anything belongs to your Owl(s). We'll be donating all items that are not claimed by May 26, 2022.

Mark Your Calendars!

Thank you to all of our families and supporters who are showing up in a BIG way this week!

Whether you are donating favorite drinks, providing extra recess coverage so staff can enjoy a longer lunch, volunteering at the Book Fair, dressing up your student as super hero on Tuesday and donating a $1 towards Cystic Fibrosis, or your company is providing treats and eats...it is ALL greatly appreciated! This will be a busy week! Thank you for being a part of our family community!
