Hello from Haiti!
What if you know the problem, but can't treat it?
Dr. Eric Dieuveuil at the clinic in Haiti wants us to know about a challenge they are facing. Due to funding limitations, the clinic has been operating without even the most basic medications for most of this year. This puts the clinic staff in the difficult position of knowing what a patient needs, but they are unable to provide them with the medications to treat their sickness. As you might imagine, this is discouraging to everyone at the clinic, including the doctors, nurses, administrators, and the patient. This year, our funding has barely allowed us to pay staff salaries, but nothing more.
Medicine is available!
Even during these times of incredible social and political unrest in Haiti, medicines are available within the country, across the border with the Dominican Republic, and from U.S. sources as well. It's not that we don't have access to the medications. It's not that the clinic doesn't know what is needed. They most surely do! It is strictly a financial matter.
This problem is solvable!
Dr. Eric and his colleagues know what they need. They know where to get it. There is only one thing missing. It's the dollars! With your help, we can solve this problem. We are hoping to raise a minimum of $3000 this month, which will meet the need for medicine until the Fall season. Even better would be a group of people who would like to give on a regular basis, targeted toward medications, so we don't have to keep going back to the well! Are you in a position to help? If so, just click here:https://www.haiticheri.org/donate.
Please include a comment that it is for medicine when you give. You can also mail a gift to the address at the very bottom of this email. As always, whether you can give or not, we are grateful for your prayers for Haiti and this ministry during these turbulent times.
