Halloween Festival 2022

October 29 at 4:30 PM

At DWS we celebrate Halloween with a blend of the old and the new. The whole family is invited to our Halloween Festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 29th. Before then, there are many tasks we need to complete in order to prepare for this magical and memorable evening. The festival will include baked goods, chili and cornbread, a warm fire, music, and so much more.

Parents make this amazing event possible. We need your help! Click HERE to sign up now to volunteer.

We encourage adults and children alike to wear costumes, but ask that they reflect the essence of our school. Commercial "character" themes, scary masks or full face makeup are NOT allowed. We also ask that parents be mindful of cultural appropriation, and avoid replicating stereotypes of oppressed peoples. For more information, please see the article linked here.

Protected Path Tickets - On Sale Now!

Children of all ages are invited to enjoy the "Protected Path," a journey through a wonderful world of vignettes, fairy tales, and far-off lands. The magical path is open to children of any age, but the beginning of the path is specify designed for preschool and kindergarten aged children. After the 8th vignette, early childhood aged children and their parents will disembark from the path while older children are invited to continue on a longer path filled with more magic and humor.

The purchase of one ticket grants access to the path for one child and one accompanying parent. Spots are limited, so make sure you sign up today. The link to buy is first being shared with you, our current families, and then will open up to the wider community next week. Click here to buy your tickets now!

Please note: the time slots before 5:30 are geared towards the early childhood age and only include the shorter path.
