MAWS CELEBRATES NATIONAL TECHNICIAN APPRECIATION WEEK
The first week of October marked the third annual National Technician Appreciation Week, in partnership with the American Trucking Association (ATA) and ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC). The purpose of the week is to celebrate the hard work and commitment of the professional technicians of the trucking industry.

Here at MAWS, our technicians are the backbone of our business and we could not do it without them! We have nearly 60 technicians that are hard at work making sure our customer's equipment and trucks are maintained, fixed, and safe on the road, including On-Site Technicians, Rent-A-Techs, and Mobile PM & Service Techs.
PARTNER SPOTLIGHT - 3rd Eye
Welcome to this month's Partner Spotlight, where we are highlighting 3rd Eye cameras. We proudly offer 3rd Eye cameras throughout our entire network of branches in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, DC, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. 3rd Eye onboard garbage truck camera systems constantly monitor your driver as well as their environment to ensure the safe operation of their vehicle.
CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT
WEST DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ

We began working with West Deptford for four years on updating their rear loader fleet. Since then they have purchased a Heil DP5000-25 and a Freightliner chassis every year. Next month, they are taking over the trash and recycling for a nearby town so we helped them purchase a stock Heil Python demo and are working on getting them one or two more. In the future, they will be replacing some of the Heil Rear Loaders with Heil Automated Side Loaders so they can get their town automated. We look forward to working with them to help them reach their goals!
EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHTS
MEET KATHY ROE

We proudly announce the promotion of Kathy Roe from Compactor Dispatcher to Compactor ManagerKathy was hired as MAWS Compactor Dispatcher in 2016. Over the next few years, she took over the dispatching duties by herself. As the MAWS compactor business grew, branches 3, 6, and 8 took over their own dispatching, leaving Kathy to dispatch for Clinton and Easton, dispatching techs in DC/MD/VA/WV/PA.

Kathy has helped transition the Clinton compactor techs from a service and installation business to a more lucrative service-only business while maintaining our reputation. We're sure that Kathy will continue to provide excellent service in her new role.
MEET TONY LITWICKI

We are excited to announce that Tony Litwicki is now Pittsburgh's Acting Branch Manager. Tony has been at the branch for almost 8 years and has done a stellar job of growing the branch's over-the-counter parts sales. He has also been a stabilizing and positive force and is highly respected by customers and colleagues alike.

Tony is an avid Steelers & Pittsburgh sports fan, as well as a memorabilia collector (he was recently featured on a local TV show!). He also coaches youth sports and is President of the local High School's football boosters.
EMPLOYEE ANNIVERSARY
Richard Kanski and his team at the City of Hampton
Congratulations to Richard Kanski on celebrating your 10-year anniversary at MAWS! Richard was hired 10 yrs ago as a level 2 tech from Agility Fuels, where he worked as a CNG tech. He quickly expanded his knowledge working out of our Chesapeake branch. Within the first 5 years, Richard quickly grew into a level 3 tech and a few years after, he was Chesapeake’s lead guy.

Three years ago, Richard was promoted to Municipal Service Manager, where he currently manages the MAWS operation for the City of Hampton. He is a perfect example of dedication and hard work. He has quickly moved up in the ranks and has become a valuable member of the MAWS management team.

We are excited to see his career grow with MAWS and we wanted to personally thank him for his years of service!
