Saba Ahmad

Ms. Ahmad is a Partner and Chief Operating Office of Turning Rock Partners. Prior to joining Turning Rock Partners, Ms. Ahmad spent over seven years at Fortress Investment Group as a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Fortress Partners Fund. Ms. Ahmad was responsible for the finance and operations of the Fund’s multi-asset class portfolio as well as business management oversight. Ms. Ahmad was Chair of the Valuation Committee and also served on the Management Committee for Fortress Liquid Markets. Prior to joining Fortress, Ms. Ahmad spent three years in the operational due diligence group at UBP Asset Management. She began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Banking & Capital Markets audit group where her clients included investment banks, private equity funds, hedge funds and other global financial institutions. Ms. Ahmad graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with a dual degree in Accounting & Finance. Ms. Ahmad is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
Sheryl Mejia

Sheryl leads sourcing, diligence, execution, and monitoring of anchor investments targeting newly forming private equity and opportunistic strategies. She maintains a focus on strategies of growing interest to Institutional Limited Partners, ultimately seeking to steward the next generation of alternative asset management leaders. Most recently, she was the Director of Emerging Managers at the New York State Common Retirement Fund, overseeing over $7 billion in commitments to more than 120 smaller and emerging firms. She is passionate about supporting the incubation of owner-manager entrepreneurs, those with a strong record of allocating to small buyout, growth equity, and other private fund strategies.

Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith is Chief Legal Officer of Guidepoint Global, LLC, and leads Guidepoint's Legal and Compliance departments. She is a recognized speaker on compliance matters and has spoken at Regulatory Compliance Association, Private Equity International, and CFO-affiliated events. She joined Guidepoint in 2011 directly from the Securities and Exchange Commission. During her seven years there, Catherine served as senior counsel in the Enforcement Division and was an inaugural member of the Enforcement Division's national Market Abuse Unit. At the SEC, Catherine was responsible for the investigation and litigation of potential violations of the federal securities laws and was a recipient of the Enforcement Director's Award. Prior to her time at the SEC, Catherine represented diverse clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters as a litigation associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. She graduated with honors from St. John's University School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the St. John's Law Review.
Katie Schuhow

Katie specializes in providing audit and consulting services to private equity funds, venture capital funds, SBIC funds, family office funds, and fund-of-funds, with AUMs ranging from $50MM to $13B, with strategies ranging from buy-out, growth equity, credit and venture. Since joining RSM US LLP, Katie has worked with asset managers with a variety of complex fund structures and investment strategies. She has over 16 years of experience in financial services and public accounting and participates regularly in RSM’s interoffice inspection program for quality and risk management. Katie is heavily involved in RSM’s diversity and inclusion programs. She was the national leader for RSM’s Family First Employee Network Group (ENG) for three years and is currently a local partner sponsor for the Abilities and InspirAsian ENGs.
