I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving break. We certainly have many reasons to give thanks at CCLS! I hope you enjoy your time with family giving thanks to God for His many blessings including our salvation in Christ. Please see the list of Thanksgiving worship services at our association congregations.

When we return from break, we will prepare our hearts for Christmas through our Advent services. The students will be leading in both word and song. We hope you can join us for one (or both) of our K-8 Advent Services. The Middle School service is on Monday, December 13 at 6:30 pm in the Concordia Center at Concordia Lutheran Church. Elementary School will worship during their scheduled chapel time on Wednesday, December 15 at 8:30 am at The Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens. Parents and other family members are welcome and encouraged to attend these Advent Services with our students.

We are off to a great start with our food drive for Kirkcare. Thank you for your generosity! We’ll continue to gather food for those in need in our community through December 1st.

Have a great Thanksgiving in the Lord!

...Early Childhood... We value your feedback and look forward to hearing from you! If you haven’t had an opportunity to fill out our “How Are We Doing?” Form, click here and take a few moments to let us know our “GLOWS” and “GROWS”.
Thank you to all of those who have accepted their invitation and created their login in our new Blackbaud system! On November 17, all of our families received the tuition model for the 202-2023 school year, as well as a detailed document explaining the ECE Preferences Form. Please take a moment to review that information so that you are able to make the best enrollment decision for next year. The ECE Preferences Form will be posted to your child’s account at 9:00 a.m. on November 29th in Blackbaud (it is not currently visible or available for completion in your account). Here are links to the tuition model and ECE Preferences document in case you missed the email:
Thank you for your patience as we implement our new Blackbaud enrollment system. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you in the process!

Blessings upon your Thanksgiving!
...Elementary... The challenge is on! We are collecting canned goods and non-perishable items for Kirk Care which is a food pantry located in Kirkwood. The Middle School Students have challenged the elementary students to see which campus will bring more items. If we reach 1000 items, we will have a free dress day! I know that the kindergarten through fourth grade students will step up and bring in lots of goodies. (Just a reminder that breakable containers are not allowed.) Students may bring their items through Wednesday, December 1st. Let's go elementary students!

God's blessings to everyone during the upcoming Thanksgiving week. May He provide safe travels to all who are traveling. May you enjoy the blessing of family time. May your family enjoy good health throughout the break. We are looking forward to being back together on November 29th as we enter the season of Advent to prepare for the coming of the Christ child at Christmas.
...Middle School... The 5th and 6th grader coders for Youth Coding League have been working hard on their group coding projects for the postseason tournament. They would greatly appreciate it if you took the time to look at their projects, and vote for the project you wish to represent our CCLS school for the first round. Click here to vote (scroll down the screen to find the 5th/6th Grade Bracket under Community Favorite). Only ONE vote per person is allowed. Click on the CCLS team name you want to vote for and it will prompt you to fill out your name and email address. Voting is now open until Sunday evening to vote for our favorite CCLS coding project.

We also want to congratulate these individual coders Malorie, Aaron B, Jillian, Natalie, and Micah K on their top 10 finishes out of 300+ coders. Well done!
CCLS Enrollment 2022-23: Blackbaud
Have you created your CCLS Blackbaud account?? All current CCLS parents should have received an email invitation to login to your account in the new CCLS Blackbaud System. It is very important that all parents who wish to enroll/re-enroll a student in CCLS for 2022-23 have a Blackbaud account. All steps in the Enrollment process will be completed within this account.

Moms in Coffee
Thanks to all who gathered together for coffee and fellowship at Moms in Coffee this week! It's never too late to join in the fun. Mark your calendar for next month: Thursday, December 16th, right after morning drop-off at the elementary campus. Coffee, moms and Jesus - what's not to love?
Santa's Workshop
We are excited for our Santa's Workshop to be held at the elementary campus only on 12/2-12/3. The purpose of Santa's Workshop is to make Christmas shopping possible for our students. Each child is invited to shop and purchase gifts that will be wrapped by our parent volunteers. Your child will leave school with the special gifts they have chosen completely wrapped and tagged.

This is a voluntary shopping time and no child is obligated to bring money and participate. If your child chooses to participate, please send an appropriate amount of money (small bills or coins, ideally) in the special envelope that will be coming home on Monday, November 29th. Please write your child's name on the envelope with the money enclosed after discussing the amounts and people to buy gifts for at Santa's Workshop. To help determine the amount needed for each gift, gifts range in price from $0.50 to $7.00.

Would you like to volunteer at this fun event? Sign-up HERE!
November Teacher & Staff Appreciation

Many thanks to all who made it possible to shower our 150 staff members with a cute and delicious bundt cake for our November teacher and staff appreciation event. From ordering and delivering the cakes to all four campuses, to the donations that funded the event, all your help and support are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Two-Day Assistant, Early Childhood. Looking for just a couple days a week? Great opportunity to spend 1-2 afternoons per week with little ones. Assist teachers, help with diaper changes and snack time, play alongside indoors and out, read, sing, and pray. This "Fellow" role subs in for other staff when they are out; you get a steady schedule, but may alternate what age children you work with from one day to another. No lesson planning: simply show up, roll up your sleeves, and help out for the afternoon. Flex afternoon schedule approx. 12pm to 5pm. Part-time position, school days only. Craft your own schedule with your preferred days and campus!

To see all our current openings and apply, visit our Careers page or contact Jessica Anderson, Director of HR, at 314-822-7774 or janderson@ccls-stlouis.org.
