Grace Ro, MD, Sungsu Lee, MD, PhD, and Chloe Lee, MD, MPH published part two of their earlier editorial exploring mental health among the Asian American Pacific Islander community and interactions with law enforcement. In this issue, they discuss Psychiatry Residency Program initiatives, including a ride-along program with law enforcement offices, that aim to mitigate adverse outcomes during the first response to psychiatric emergencies.

A new publication by Nancy Bowllan, EdD, Heather O'Brien, MS, RN, Courtney Blackwood, MS, RN, Wendi Cross, PhD, and Patrick Walsh, PhD MPH highlights a simulation project aimed at managing de-escalation and aggression safely in psychiatric emergency programs.

Ellen Poleshuck, PhD, Daniel Maeng, PhD, Tamara Bilinski, MA, and Lauren Beers published a paper highlighting protocols for a trial comparing InBloom, an app focused on postpartum depression prevention, and in-person intervention.

Steve Silverstein, PhD was a coauthor on a paper describing protocol for aggregating retinal data using neural networks to improve the detection of schizophrenia.
- Mohammad Jammoul, MD, Daniel Maeng, PhD, Brian Keane, PhD, and Paul Geha, MD were coauthors of a study examining the effects of chronic lower back pain on motivation and mood.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, many states established essential caregiver programs which allowed nursing home residents to receive in-person support. Daniel Maeng, PhD and Hochang Ben Lee, MD coauthored this study comparing characteristics of these programs.

Bekir Nihat Dogrul, MD was a coauthor on this review discussing current literature on neurochemical and structural abnormalities in the brain as it relates to schizophrenia.
