Greetings from the GREEN BOX film team! We hope you all are having an enjoyable summer and that it’s been both interesting and restful.
We have been working on the rough cut of The Green Box: At The Heart Of A Purple Heart and are looking forward to finishing the first pass at the footage and script soon.
We are sad to report that Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson (ret.) died over the summer. As many of you know, he is one of the subjects of our documentary. We were privileged to interview him last year, and he recounted some of his experiences as one of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, and POW at Stalag Luft III.  We wish to thank his family for their support and share our condolences and remembrance.
After his liberation, Alexander Jefferson returned to the U.S. and became a teacher. He wrote a book about his time as one of the heroic pilots of the Red Tail fighter plane squadron, and a groundbreaking African American veteran.  If you would like to learn more about that aspect of his life, you can find the book Red Tail Captured, Red Tail Free click here:  Red Tail Captured
We honor his life and service.
