ARC, CRC, FLC, SCC Pride Center Statement of Support for LGBTQIA+ Community

The staff and faculty in the Pride Centers across Los Rios Community College District are deeply troubled by the recent Executive Orders that deny recognition of gender identities and attack protections against sex discrimination, the rights of immigrants and asylum seekers, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. While the constitutionality of these orders is questionable, we will resist the implementation of every harmful policy and stand firm as advocates for equity and justice. Together, we will support you! Our campuses and Pride Centers will continue to welcome you and provide a safe space while you complete your educational journey.

In solidarity,

Liz Geisser, ARC Pride Center, geissee@arc.losrios.edu

Jennifer Martinez Bedolla, CRC Pride Center, martinj@crc.losrios.edu

Alejandra Trejo, CRC Pride Center, trejoa@crc.losrios.edu

Eli Smith, FLC Pride Nest, SmithE@flc.losrios.edu

Tiffany Clark, SCC Pride Center, clarkt@scc.losrios.edu

About the ARC Pride Center:
