Meet Ms. Julia Tomassetti from Springfield High School who is enrolled in our Early Childhood Education Program at the Aston Campus. This week she read the book, “Puppy with a Waggly Tail” to her class. She planned an extension activity all on her own where she purchased 20 mini plush puppies for the children with little cardboard homes. The children absolutely loved this. Our teacher was able to be there for this and capture the excitement of the children naming and decorating their puppy homes.

Julia is a teacher at heart always lending a hand to her classmates. Without the support of her PreK Count teachers, Mrs. Kirsten & Mrs. T this would not have been possible. They have made such a welcoming environment for the students to come in and test out their lessons without the fear of failure or judgement.
Mike Roddy is enrolled in our Computer Networking program at the Aston campus and we wanted to highlight Mike for being the "I in Kind". Mike works with another co-op student from our Folcroft campus who does not yet have transportation so Mike has been giving him rides. Both students are from different sending schools so their first time meeting was at work. Of course, we highlight our students' scholarships, awards and achievements but we also want to recognize the kindness and support that happens with our students. Thank you Mike for being willing to help out a fellow student.
Victor Tran (Upper Darby), Pete Valtos (Penncrest), Will McNally (Ridley), Anthony Dick (Ridley) and Isaac Ashley (Upper Darby) are enrolled in our Logistics & Inventory Management program and are doing their mentoring experience at Teachers' Teammates in Folcroft. We are proud of these students for their amazing teamwork and their willingness to use their skills to help out a local nonprofit organization. Great job everyone. Check out the video and article below to see our students in action!

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"

DCIU and DCTS Health and Safety Plan

  • All individuals will be required to wear masks when in a DCIU and DCTS location.

  • Stay home if you're sick: You should continue to screen for symptoms each morning and should not come to school with COVID-19 symptoms.
  • DCIU and DCTS will continue to work with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to monitor community transmission and implementation of best practices for COVID-19 mitigation. Please be aware the DCIU and DCTS Health and Safety Plan is a fluid document. New guidance from the CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health may require our plan to change.
