Ellington Recreation Department Program Guide
March 2022 Edition
As we look forward to the warmer months ahead, I want to take a moment to reflect on the culmination of our winter activities and take a moment to thank the generous community support we have received yet again. We had over 500 Ellington children playing basketball in our gymnasiums this winter ranging in age from the youngest of age four to the oldest of age 18. None of it would be possible if it weren't for our nearly 100 volunteer coaches and team managers some of whom coached without even having their own child on a team, and while there are too many to list individually, I want the collective of our volunteer community to know that their efforts are greatly appreciated. Finally, I'd like to acknowledge the efforts of our boys 6th grade travel team and our girls 7/8 grade travel team for overcoming the myriad of challenges associated with COVID-19 and athletics and earning first place in their respective divisions. As always please take a look through our program offerings for the month of March and beyond, and please contact our department if you have any questions, or suggestions on activities you would like to see in upcoming iterations.
