EDS Grandparent and Special Friend Day is tomorrow. Students should come to school dressed in their best uniform. Good luck to all our performers!

Swim Team | First Practice


The first practice will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9th. All practices and meets will take place at the Hagerty Family Events Center. Please be sure you have your forms completed and returned to Ms. Whitworth before the first practice. Forms can be found in the Announcements on Educate.

It's Simple to Be Green

Poster Contest


All K-8 students are invited to participate in the "It's Simple to be Green" Poster Contest. The deadline for submissions is November 15th. There will be one LS and one MS winner- each will win a $50 gift certificate to Ling Ling Restaurant compliments of the Fiona & Ethan He Family! You will find the guidelines below.

NJHS Game Night | LS


On Friday, Nov. 15th from 5 pm - 7 pm, the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) will host a Game Night for Lower School Students (Grades K - 4). The cost is $10 per student or $15 for a family. Pizza, chips, and drinks will be provided. Parents may drop-off and pick-up students at the Griffith Lobby entrance. To RSVP for the event, please email bgutowski@eriedayschool.com. Payment may be made by check to Erie Day School or Cash (Please place cash in an envelope clearly labeled with your student‘s name.)

First Quarter Ends


The 1st quarter of EDS school year ends on Nov. 8th. Report cards will be published on Nov. 15th.


Spirit Day | Nov. 15th


On Fri. Nov. 15th, students are invited to dress down in EDS Spirit Wear in lieu of their school uniform. Dress down days include denim. Please refer to the Uniform and Dress Guidelines in the EDS Community Handbook for allowable attire.

EDS Ski Club


Students in Grades PK-8 are invited to join the EDS Ski Club! Friday evenings, parents and children alike are invited to travel to Peek 'n' Peak after school to enjoy the slopes together. You will find family pricing and pass order information below. If your child(ren) and/or family members secure a pass, be sure to email ktyler@eriedayschool.com so we can record your names for the Peak and Peek educational partnership with the school.


To date there are only two families interested in bus transportation.

2nd Continental Congress Debate


Last week, Erie Day School middle school students participated in a Debate on the Second Continental Congress hosted by Iroquois High School, where three of our students received notable awards. William Wachter was honored with the Benjamin Franklin Award. Vihaan Koradia earned the Best Patriot Award. Casey Aresco took home the Best EDS Award. Their achievements, led by Mr. Gutowski, highlight EDS’s commitment to developing strong public speaking and critical thinking skills.

Asbury Woods Winter Event

Erie Day School Recognition Tree



Erie Day School offers a unique opportunity for families to etch their legacy into the institution's history by purchasing a leaf for our Recognition Tree. Crafted by local artist Adam Stempka of Stempka Designs, this custom piece invites families to honor or remember a student, teacher, philanthropist, or special person or family with a laser-engraved birch leaf. The tree is located on the exterior wall at the Griffith Lobby entrance patio.
