Save the Date: 2018 Education Symposium June 20th, 2018: 
The Seattle chapter and Education Committee is excited to announce the 2018 Education Symposium will be held on June 20th, 2018 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Dean Kashiwagi, IFMA Fellow . Session topics will include Ergonomics and Wellness; Responding to the Energy Regulatory Environment; Meeting the Challenge of Retirees in Facilities and Maintenance - How to Develop a Workforce Training Program; Disaster Preparedness and Management; a panel discussion on credentials available to Facilities Managers; and more!

City of Seattle Benchmarking Workshop:
January 23rd, 2018 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM PST- Smart Buildings Center- Learn how to benchmark your building's energy performance using the free online tool ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to support compliance with the City of Seattle's annual benchmarking and reporting requirement. Participants will learn about the benchmarking process and local utility services available to auto-upload energy consumption data from Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy and Enwave.

Update to Building Tune-Ups Deadline 
for Large Buildings (200,000 s.f. +)

Commercial property owners of buildings or spaces 200,000 sf or more now have five additional months to compete a Building Tune-Up. This first group of buildings will now be required to complete their first Tune-Up by March 1, 2019. Alternative compliance, waiver, and extension requests will be due September 4, 2018.

Due dates for all other buildings subject to the ordinance (nonresidentialspace of 50,000 sf - 199,999 sf) will remain the same.
