Spring Break is Right Around the Corner
|
|
This past month we had the pleasure (and challenge) of reviewing an exceptional slate of applicants to the Olin and Chancellor’s fellowship programs. These are signature programs at WashU and attract outstanding students from all disciplines. I am glad to convey that we have extended competitive offers to our top applicants and look forward to having them join our graduate student body in the Fall. My thanks to all our faculty and staff members who helped facilitate the fellowships process. We also recommended an excellent slate of graduate students for induction into the national Bouchet Graduate Honor Society in 2022.
I have had the opportunity to continue on my informal listening tour, including a well-attended (virtual) "lunch with VPGE" session. These interactions have been incredibly helpful in helping me align my priorities and I hope that as pandemic-related restrictions are relaxed in consultation with our medical experts, we can schedule more in-person engagements. In closing, I wish you a pleasant and safe Spring Break and look forward to connecting with you again very soon.
Warm regards,
-Vijay Ramani, vice provost for graduate education
