A monthly open house in partnership with UConn Student Health and Wellness and The Beanery. In October we are featuring a Monster Mask craft, Spooky Tunes with special guest DJ Prof P., and Pet Therapy playtime in the galleries. Open mic in The Beanery Café.

Film Screening: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Associate Professor of Art Alison Paul will introduce the film, followed by a Q+A. Held in conjunction with Ray Guns, Dames, and the Guilty Gaze: Feminism and the Golden Age of Science Fiction Pulps.

Monsters & Aliens: Exploring Science Fiction Pulps
Join Benton educators for an interactive two-part workshop exploring Ray Guns, Dames, and the Guilty Gaze: Feminism and the Golden Age of Science Fiction Pulps. Learn more about works of art in the exhibition through close looking and discussion. Then try your hand at creating watercolor splatter-paint monsters. A materials kit will be available at the front desk one week before the program; free for UConn students and Museum members, $5 for non-members.
