The Morris Park BID visited our partners at the Morris Park Community Association seniors program, thanking them for being loyal supporters of our local Morris Park Avenue businesses. We shared PPE, at-home COVID test-kits and our brand new Morris Park Business and Visitors Guide! Storefront graffiti removal is one of the many services provided by the MPBID in order to maintain a clean and safe environment and quality of life on the Morris Park Avenue commercial corridor. Supporting Outreach and Partnership with Our Morris Park Yemeni Business Community |

- The MPBID was honored to partner with community organizations and participating in two events focusing on supporting the energetic Yemeni small businesses in the Van Nest and Morris Park neighborhoods. On Friday, February 25, 2022, the MPBID Program Manager Selam Yemeru presented our services at the event organized by the Yemeni American Merchants Association, along with representatives of NYCWCP and SBS, and hosted by the Yemen American Association. Furthermore, on Thursday, March 3, 2022, the MPBID Executive Director Dr. Camelia Tepelus presented the work of the BID at the "Small Business Townhall" convened by Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez and co-hosted along with the Alliance of Yemeni American Businesses, with participation from Councilmember Oswald Feliz, the office of Councilwoman Marjorie Velazquez, YAMA and the Office of the Bronx District Attorney. We thank all participants for the substantive conversations that focused on public safety and community quality of life.

Big thanks to NYC DOT conducting a full corridor walk-through with us on #MorrisPark Avenue on March 2, 2022, assessing our streetscape, lighting, utilities and infrastructure needs. We need to work together for everyone’s safety and upgrade the #Bronx infrastructure!

The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) invites artists living and working in the Bronx to submit proposals for designs to be featured on tables to be displayed publicly throughout the Garden grounds for visitor use during an upcoming exhibition entitled Around the Table, on view from June 4–September 11, 2022.
