Relive the Birth of Christ at Camp Hanover
Hanover Christmas returns December 10 and 11 for two magical nights celebrating the birth of Jesus. From 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. each evening, experience musical performances and dramatic reenactments while strolling a candlelit wooded path. A donation of $10 per person to the Annual Fund for Camp Hanover is appreciated.
Become a Transgender-Friendly Congregation
Your congregation can learn how to build empathy and support for transgender and nonbinary people and their loved ones through a workshop series coordinated by Rev. Dr. Brenda Walker. In partnership with Centenary United Methodist Church in Richmond, Pastor Walker piloted Expanding Our Welcome: Creating Safe Spaces for Transgender and Non-Binary Folks, a four-part series for faith communities in May 2021. Submit Your Photos for the Planning Calendar
PC(USA) seeks photos to include in the 2022-2023 Presbyterian Planning Calendar. Ideal candidates for submissions feature church members and friends in action rather than posed. If you have good quality, high-resolution photos of your church members in worship, mission service, or conducting outreach, please submit them for consideration by Feb. 14, 2022. 
Blessings on These Church Anniversaries
On November 14, two churches held anniversary worship services.
Ashland Church celebrated the start of its 150th year. They began outside by dedicating a tree and continued in the sanctuary with worship. After, the congregation enjoyed fellowship with memorabilia from the church’s history.
Second Church in Petersburg commemorated 170 years of ministry with special music by a soloist and a handbell choir. As it continues to serve in a third century, the congregation will soon hold its 9,000th worship service.
