Item Newsletter, Issue #7, November 14, 2021
We are so excited to be hosting the Hubbard Woods School Book Fair IN PERSON this week! Please join us in our school's library, called the Resource Center (RC), on Wednesday 2-8PM or Thursday 8-10AM where you will find a wonderful selection of children's books and gifts. Keep in mind that we will need to limit the number of people in the RC at one time. So please consider shopping at off peak times (such as Wednesday evening and Thursday morning) to avoid waiting in line. We will try to keep it running smoothly but appreciate your patience and understanding. Also, please consider volunteering to help at the Book Fair. There are both day and evening opportunities, and it's a fun way to meet other parents and offer your support. All funds raised go directly to our Hubbard Woods Resource Center for new books and materials to benefit every student!

Wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for our staff and families who make up this special Hubbard Woods School community and feel fortunate to benefit from such a strong partnership. Hope everyone enjoys the week off with some opportunities for fun and relaxation!

Looking Ahead
The Hubbard Woods Book Fair is THIS WEEK!

The Hubbard Woods Book Fair will be held Wednesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 18. 25% of the sales will come back to the RC- past book fairs have enabled the RC to purchase new books, refreshing the RC collection for all students to check out and enjoy!

Books make great gifts, so plan to cross some holiday shopping off your list at the fair. HW students will have a sneak peek of the fair on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will be bringing their wish lists home for more ideas. HW staff will also be creating wish lists, so consider purchasing a gift for a classroom library.

JOIN US to SHOP TILL YOU DROP Wednesday, November 17 from 2:00PM-8:00PM and Thursday, November 18 from 8:00AM-10:00AM. Please note: while we are so excited to be back holding the Book Fair in -person, we still have to make some changes due to the pandemic. In order to maintain adequate social distancing, we may have to limit the number of shoppers at the Book Fair. Please be patient with us! The after school hours on Wednesday are usually the busiest times, so consider planning to visit later in the day if time is an issue. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

If you would prefer to do your book fair shopping online, please CLICK HERE to visit Anderson's Book Fairs. At checkout, you list Hubbard Woods School, and we will receive the profit from your purchase. You can have books sent to HWS for delivery to your child's classroom, or mailed directly to your home.

In order to have a successful Book Fair, we rely on the help of volunteers, and we really need your help! If you are interested in helping, please CLICK HERE to sign up. We are especially in need of volunteers in the afterschool hours on Wednesday.

And finally, we are holding a Book Drive to benefit Bernie's Book Bank. Please consider making room for new books by donating gently used children’s books (birth-6th grade reading level). Bins are located in the school lobby for collection from Monday, November 15- Friday, November 19.
