Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

"All life has inestimable value, even the weakest and most vulnerable, the sick, the old, the unborn and the poor are masterpieces of God's creation." -Pope Francis

From the desk of Fr. Joe

Dear Parishioners of Holy Spirit,

Following 10:30 am Mass this Sunday, I invite you to stick around for an hour to hear about the results of the Feasibility Study for a capital campaign; to hear about the impact of a Catholic School on the life of a parish and to let your voices be heard on the direction we, as a parish take for the future. This will be an important gathering of the parish and I hope you will take some time and share your thoughts. These are some important decisions that we need to make as a community and the more voices we have the better. Please continue to pray that our community that we love so dearly will continue to be a place of welcome and a source of peace and holiness for all who enter.

Blessings,

Fr. Joe Sharbel

Town hall meeting

I'd like to invite you to stay after 10:30am Mass this Sunday, October 2 for a general discussion on the possibility of opening a school here at Holy Spirit. The meeting will last no longer than an hour. It is important from my perspective to throw the net wide when undertaking such a big project. Opening and operating a school means that the parish as a whole must be invested in this as a major ministry for our parish. And please if you know of families with small children interested in the benefits of Catholic education please invite them along. This could be a wonderful undertaking and an opportunity for our parish to push forward in the faith by forming a new generation in the love of Jesus Christ.

College student outreach mail ministry

It's not too late to sign your student up for our parish mail ministry. We would like to keep in touch with college students in the form of encouraging letters, cards and care packages throughout their school year. We want them to know that we are thinking of them and praying for their success.

Please click here to submit your student's information, or you may submit via email to outreach@holyspiritmo.org.

We need to update our list every year so please provide your student’s address even if they participated last year.
