FOR A VIRTUAL PANEL DISCUSSION
Opulent Crossings: Post War Tourism, Advertising, and Design
This Wednesday, August 11, at 6:00pm Eastern, the Conservancy will convene an expert panel discussion focusing on the connections between post-war tourism, travel, advertising, and design. From the evolution of fashion during the 50's to the 60's - and how those changes reflected broader societal changes - to the progression of ocean liner design, this panel will explore the SS United States within the post-World War II social and historical context.

Opulent Crossings: Post-War Tourism, Advertising, and Design will feature insightful talks by curator Daniel Finamore, and historians Raissa Bretaña and Richard K. Popp, plus audience Q&A.
