Introducing WashU's Strategic Vision | |
Dear Students,
As we approach Fall Break, our campus has been buzzing with activity as we formally launched the university’s exciting new strategic plan, Here and Next, as well as the Make Way student initiative this week. You can read the Strategic Plan and learn more about upcoming plan-related events here. Most of the events are are open to the entire WashU community and I encourage you to participate. I am also excited to note that The Graduate Center is ramping up its offerings (open to all graduate and professional students) with more programming planned for the Spring term. A schedule of programs can be found here. We would welcome your engagement with these programs. I had a great opportunity to engage with the Graduate Student Senate at their October 4 meeting and had an excellent conversation with them covering various topics. I plan to stay engaged with the graduate student groups on campus as the year progress, and to resume the monthly lunch with VPGE sessions. I hope to meet with many more of you in person through these fora. Finally, I am delighted to highlight the upcoming She Leads symposium, to be held on October 21, 2022. We have a compelling slate of outstanding speakers and panelists, both external and internal, who will be participating in this symposium. Details are provided in the newsletter below!
Warm regards,
-Vijay Ramani, vice provost for graduate education and international affairs
