COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Immediate Action

All students, faculty and staff accessing campus are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Residential students who fail to meet this requirement will not be able to select a move-in pass and will not be permitted to move into their residence hall assignment. Non-residential students will not be able to complete course registration.

Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, 5:30 p.m.

This special academic ceremony marks the opening of the University and the beginning of new students’ careers at Syracuse University. Convocation will include a welcome from the University Chancellor and provost.
Aug. 27-29, 2021

Each school and college has required events for students to attend including a welcome from the dean, advising, campus tours and more!
Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, 7:30 p.m.

To begin the semester, each residence hall and community will have a required meeting on campus with Resident Directors (RDs) and Resident Advisors (RAs). See the schedule or your RA for your building's location.
Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021

Speak About It is a performance-based presentation that includes thought-provoking and sometimes humorous skits and monologues, all based on true accounts, dealing with sexual consent, assault, misconduct and bystander intervention. Students will also learn about many resources at Syracuse University.

Resource Spotlight

OttoTHON Leadership Program (OLP): As the largest philanthropy organization at Syracuse University, OttoTHON raises money for Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. By helping raise awareness and hosting a 12-hour dance marathon, first-year students can participate in leadership roles within the OttoTHON Leadership Program (OLP). Transfer students may apply to be on OttoTHON committees this fall.
