From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal
Dear Parents,
There is finally a chill in the air! Please be sure to send you child with appropriate clothing for recess. Morning recess, especially, has been cool and students have been pretty cold when outside! Easier to take off hats and mittens than need them and not have any.
Covid update: 0 active cases and 2 students quarantined! Just as an FYI, we have had quite a few stomach bugs going around. If your child throws up before school or during the night, please keep them home!
We will have Birthday Blessing for July and October Birthdays on Wednesday, October 27th. Birthday students may dress up as they will be called forth after communion for a special blessing from Father. Our 3K and 4K Birthday friends will join us for Mass in church. Soon the whole 3K and 4K will be at Mass weekly. Teachers are getting them prepared. Thank you Mr. Brzeski for broadcasting our Mass to the classrooms to help them get ready.
VERY IMPORTANT: We will have the Burghardt’s Spirit Wear ordering window open from WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27 to SUNDAY OCTOBER 31 at midnight. This is the ONLY window we could get in order to receive the orders before Christmas. Please look carefully at the difference between SPIRITWEAR and UNIFORM APPROVED categories. There is a difference. The only uniform colored sweat shirts/jackets are green.
We have had up to 20 students tardy on a given day. The tardy bell rings at 7:25. Students should be in their classrooms by that time. It is really disruptive (for your child and the class) when students arrive 5, 10 or 15 minutes into the morning. We really appreciate your help with this situation.
The Halloween season is upon us! Students are getting excited for the Halloween Parade and Trunk or Treat! Parents are welcome to come onto the playground for the Parade at 1:00pm on Friday, October 29th. We will parade outside this year. If it rains, we will cancel the parade part of the festivities. Friday is a Halloween out of uniform day for all students! Trunk or Treat begins at 5:00pm (Cars park and decorate at 4:30). If you are not decorating your car, please park upstairs and walk down to the playground. As mentioned last week, this is an alcohol free event.
Blessings,
Mrs. Ellen Knippel
