MESSAGE FROM KATIE

Dear friends,

Thank you on Ricky's behalf for sending him off with love on Sunday. It has been the highest honor to serve alongside him. This week, we will begin a new sermon series, In Transit. We are in the midst of transition here, and we can look to so many people in the Bible who also faced change, and glean wisdom for how we ought to respond in the face of transition!

This past weekend, our kids' ministry began their summer with a splash day! The kids AND adults played in foam, and it was a delight to see such joy on the faces of those present. At the end of this week, our student ministry will welcome the upcoming 7th grade class to youth ministry on a trip to the water park! Students - pack your sunscreen and get ready for a day in the sun and waking up some unsuspecting new 7th graders.

While many are traveling this summer, we have made sure to make space for events for the entire family. We hope you'll join us at one or all of the events in June and July!

TOP 3 AT FIRST UMC

WELCOME OUR NEW SENIOR PASTOR

On July 2nd, our new senior pastor, Rev. Jimmy Criddle will join us for worship for the first time. We will have ONE joint service at 10 AM in the sanctuary and will have a potluck brunch afterwards. This will be a great time of fellowship as we begin this season of ministry together! Save the date and begin thinking about which brunch dish you'd like to bring! Be on the lookout later this week for another message about this with more details!

Please note: the building will be open at our normal times for adult Sunday school classes to meet prior to the service as they desire. There will not be kids or youth Sunday school. The gym will be open for you to drop off your brunch dishes prior to the service as well.

FUN FOR ALL IN SUNDAY SCHOOL

Starting Sunday, June 11 @ 10am, we will have inter-generational Sunday school in the youth room, upstairs in the Family Life Building. This ministry brings all generations together to learn, build relationships, and grow in faith together. We are excited to offer this for our kids, youth, college students and adults!

BAPTISM CELEBRATION!

On May 28th in the Connections service, we welcomed a new sister into the family of Clinton First United Methodist Church through baptism! We hope you'll join us in welcoming Rose Sistrunk, daughter of Chris and Melanie Sistrunk, to the family. Baptism is a Holy moment, and we are excited to see the ways that the people of our church will walk with Rose and pour into her as she grows.
