August 2022
BNHA is closing out the summer with events and products that look to promote and improve life in Baltimore! BNHA has partnered with The Reginald F. Lewis Museum for a screening of its BY ANY MEANS NECCESARY film and a in-depth panel discussion on squeegeeing in the city that looks to humanize the debate.

We are also excited to announce that we have added to the BNHA team! Scroll down to meet Anna and learn more about the work they are going to do with BNHA. Our partner spotlight focuses on an upcoming event with the Baltimore Opera that tells the story of a Baltimore notable that you need to know more about.

Finally, check out our new BNHA T-shirts that will make you "Bmore Proud." Donate $23 or more to BNHA and get your tee. Your donation supports our youth initiatives that introduce Baltimore youth to the heritage and beauty of the city.

Lets close out the summer strong! Roll BNHA into your upcoming events and consider partnering with us to advance the story of Baltimore.

2nd Annual
YOUNG Saturday 'Visiter' Awards

Calling all young artists, performers, writers, and lovers of Poe to submit to 2nd Annual YOUNG Saturday ‘Visiter’ Awards

In 1833, Edgar Allan Poe submitted a short story to The Baltimore Saturday Visiter publication and won the competition which helped to launch his career. In celebration of the famous writer’s life, Poe Baltimore and BNHA have partnered to hold the 2nd Annual YOUNG Saturday ‘Visiter” Awards (YSVAs), open to Maryland High School Students (grade 9 - 12 or equivalent during the 2022-23 school year). The prizes will honor student media, art, performance, and writing that adapts or is inspired by Poe’s life and works. Submission deadline is October 31, 2022 (HALLOWEEN!), and there is no fee to enter.
