Staff week is going great out on Lake Murray at Camp Barstow. We have an awesome group of returning staff members and our new folks are figuring things out. The weather has been nice and aside for a few head aches it's been a great start to the week for us.
So today's question to ponder is should I start selling Boy Scout handbooks on eBay? I have done a little homework and there about 5k listed with signs that about 1k sell every 90 days in the category. I have NEVER attempted to do this but I am sitting on probably 500-1000 books that I could list. The problem is always space in the warehouse! But if they are already taking up space at least they could be for sale.
The downside to selling a book is you have to take 1/2 dozen pictures of the condition, they will cost a minimum of $4 to ship with media mail and they take up lots of space. So for the same or less effort I can list patches. BUT these are already bought and paid for so it's still math that seems to be worth it.
Live on eBay I have 292 auctions on everything from patches to mugs and T-shirts. The T-Shirt recycling program has exceeded my expectations and I have more listed this go around. over on OApatch I have 47 live auctions on OA flaps and issues.
I am closing my circles on the Apple watch and enjoying getting out and about at camp. We really have hired a great group of staff and I'm excited to see what this summer looks like.
