Dear Farm Friends,

Great times at our harvest party on Saturday!

Perfect weather, the rain blessed us and then cleared off in time for the party. The fields are greening up with sprouting cover crops, and we are all feeling relieved to be done with heat, dust, and wildfire for a while. Thanks to everyone who came out. It might’ve been our best party yet. We had a lively crowd, good food, amazing music and dancing, and a bonfire with our broken pallet stash! We love getting folks out to the farm.

An extra big thanks to Becky Ahmadi for carrying the torch, wrangling all of us, and knowing what needs to be done, to all the Mountain Bounty farmers for a great job with setup and so much extra help with so many tasks, Chef Sycamore and his crew, Volunteer community/family/Nevada Union high school band members for their integral help with set up and serving, all of our musicians for entertaining the crowds, and to Mike Covert, Cory Jones, and Jake Benedict for getting up early with me to do the dirty work of setting up and monitoring the pig roast.
