Silver Beaver Nominations Remain Open

The Silver Beaver Award is the highest award a Scout Council can bestow. It is awarded for noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth by registered Scouters within a Council. It is given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. The Silver Beaver Award is given to those who do not seek it. To receive the Award, a Scouter must be nominated by a registered Scouter on the official form provided by the National Office. Nominations are due by November 30th!

Recruiter Strip for Scouts

Have your Scouts recruited new members for your unit? They've likely earned the Recruiter Strip, a special patch that recognizes youth who have encouraged a friend (or two) to join them on their Scouting adventures! Any youth member — in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing or Sea Scouts — who gets a friend, classmate or relative to sign up for Scouting can receive the red, white and blue patch.
