PM Narendra Modi clocks 20 meetings in his
65-hour stay in US

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-day trip to the United States was packed with meetings as he attended 20 of them during the around 65 hours he spent in the country, government sources said.
India makes clean energy commitments at UN summit

India at the first leader-level meeting on energy under the UN General Assembly in 40 years has made commitments to increase renewable energy installed capacity to 450 GW by 2030 and develop and implement a National Hydrogen Energy Mission to scale up annual green hydrogen production to 1 MT by 2030.

United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, on Monday September 13, 2021 said that the US will assist India in attracting finance and technology to achieve its 450GW renewable energy target for 2030, as announced earlier by Prime Minister Modi.

'Quad set to produce 1 Billion vaccines in India by 2022 end': Joe Biden

US President Joe Biden said that the Quad partnership is on track to produce a billion vaccines in India by 2022. He added that nothing was more urgent than working together to defeat COVID. Biden said the US & its global partners are working to scale up vaccine manufacturing in other nations.

The US’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry arrived in India on Sunday 12, 2021 for his two-day visit that aims to lay the groundwork for American efforts ahead of a key United Nations climate conference scheduled for November.

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri on September 9, 2021 co-chaired a virtual Ministerial meeting with US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm to launch the revamped India-US Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP).
US senator moves bill for climate ties with India

Senator Bob Menendez has introduced legislation for cooperation between the United States and India related to clean climate technologies and energy transmission. Bob Menendez, a Democratic lawmaker who heads the foreign relations committee of the US Senate, introduced legislation on Monday, September 13, 2021 proposing to create the main forum for cooperation between the United States and India related to clean climate technologies and energy transmission.
Amazon unveils 'Jetsons'-like roaming robot for the home

Amazon's version, called Astro, doesn't cook or clean like the animated character from “The Jetsons," but it can check if you left the stove on while you're out or send an alert if someone enters the house it doesn't recognize. Amazon's new robot can hear, see and follow you around the the home, but its no Rosey the Robot.
US-based financial services company to hire 10,000 in India
US-based Global financial services provider Fidelity Information Services (FIS) announced its plan to hire 10,000 people in India over the next one year as it sees increasing investment and growth prospects. The Florida-headquartered company plans a 12-month recruitment drive, and hiring will be at all levels of operations. A special focus will be given to graduates from tier-II and III cities.
