COME TO A FALL STEWARDSHIP GATHERING | |
Come to a fall Stewardship Gathering! These gatherings are designed to be fun, community-building events where we can spend a little time with one another, have something to eat and drink, and talk about stewardship. In particular, we'll be making connections between how the gifts we present to God support the vital ministries at Saint Paul's.
All stewardship gatherings will take place in the Berlin Room, and we ask that you let us know which gathering you plan to attend by signing up on SignUp Genius. The dates and times are as follows.
Tuesday. Nov. 12 12:00 A light lunch will be provided
Thursday Nov. 14 5:30 Beverages and hors d'oeuvres
Sunday Nov. 17 12:30 A light lunch will be provided *
Tuesday Nov. 19 5:30 Beverages and hors d'oeuvres
* This gathering is especially for families with young children. The EYC (with adult supervision) will enjoy pizza and playtime with our young children.

CSRA Walk for Water
November 9
1- Walk with our Team. Register for free!
Wear your Saint Paul's Love you Neighbor t-shirt. Mary Lynn Ford is leading our youth along with our missionaries from Ecuador.

2- Welcome Walk Participants at Saint Paul's
Saint Paul's is the 1/2-way mark in the walk. Share a smile and refreshments or direct walkers to the restroom and the return route on the Riverwalk. Park in the west parking lot. The walkers will begin arriving at 9:30 AM.

3- Give to Water Missions
Even if you can't make it out tomorrow, you can still help! Give to Water Missions on the Walk for Water website or at Saint Paul's website (Choose "special offering" and "Walk for Water"

Children's Choirs Rehearsals
Sunday, 9:25 - 10 AM
The Canterbury Choir (children in grades 3-9 and the St. Nicholas Choir (Pre-K through grade 2) rehearse Sundays, 9:25-10:00 AM.
The Canterbury Choir will sing the anthem this Sunday.

A Conversation with John and Caroline Allen
John and Caroline Allen, missionaries from Education = Hope will share stories from Ecuador and talk about the importance of the short-term mission teams (like what Saint Paul's does).

Godly Play (grades pk4-2)

Kim Butler and Sara Dimsdale will lead our younger children in the Saint Francis Room (Godly Play Room). If your child is in the Saint Nicholas choir, they will transition from choir to formation.

Kitty Gordon and Jackie Pingel will lead our older children. They will meet in the Saint Patrick Room (large classroom across from the office). If your child is in the Canterbury choir, they will transition from choir to the formation class.

Our middle school formation (grades 6-8) meets Sunday morning in the St. Benedict Room (down the hall next to the women's restroom).

Interfaith Dialogue
Sundays 4 PM, Berlin Room
Through November 2
November 10: Hinduism
This fall Saint Paul’s welcomes Sister Ellen Francis of the Order of St. Helena as she leads us in conversations about and with other faith traditions beyond Christianity. Beginning October 20, this class will meet at 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoons in the Berlin Room. Several of the sessions will feature guest speakers from other faiths for open dialogue, education, and relationship-building. Each session will end in time for participants to attend the 5:30 pm Celtic service.
Schedule: Oct. 20: Introduction; Oct. 27: Sikhism; Nov. 3: Judaism; Nov. 10: Hinduism; Nov. 17: Islam; Nov. 24: Conclusion

Celtic Evening Prayer and Communion
With Prayers for Healing
Sundays, 5:30 PM
Celtic Evening Prayer and Communion is a candle-lit service that emphasizes the contemplative side of worship, features some of Augusta’s best Celtic musicians, and offers prayers for healing for those attending, for others, and for the world. Come as you are and enter into a place of rest, prayer, and reflection.
Matt Dickerson is our guest musician this week.

Sit and Wait
Sundays, 6:30 PM, Chapel
Sit and Wait follows the Celtic Service Sunday evenings (6:30 PM). The service begins with a Service of Compline and will end with a twenty-minute sit. The people end in silence.

Bring a friend for a time of prayer, fellowship and enrichment, then share a meal and learn some creative ways to decorate for your holiday gatherings. Compline is a beautiful, simple, and quiet service to end the day together in prayer with God. This service is led by members of the parish using an on-screen bulletin so everyone may pray together.

Mid-Week Eucharist

A mid-week Eucharist in the Chapel begins at 11:30 AM. Lunch in Tyler Hall follows at 12 noon with a weekly Bible study (more information below.) Join us as your schedule allows: Come for Eucharist and lunch, lunch and Bible study, or stay for all three. (So that we may honor mid-day schedules, lunch is scheduled for 15 minutes and will continue through the Bible study conversations.)

Lectio at Lunch

Every Thursday in Tyler Hall you’ll find a lunch combo that can’t be beat! We offer a tasty meal with a generous helping of fellowship, plus a lively discussion arising from the Gospel of Mark. Our text is N.T. Wright’s Mark for Everyone which takes this Gospel in small bites, reflecting on each week’s reading with relevant and important insights. We finish promptly at 1:00 PM and invite you to join us as your schedule allows. You may bring your own lunch or share in the meal provided. Donations accepted.

New Day by Day Available
The new Day by Day issue for November, December, and January has arrived and is available in the Narthex. If you would like to have one mailed to you, please contact the parish office. Forward Day by Day is a booklet of daily, "page-a-day," inspirational meditations each reflecting on a specific Bible passage from the daily lectionary readings of the Episcopal Church. The meditations are rich in substance and offer a wide range of witness and experiences. These meditations are also available online on the Forward movement website.
