Combs High School Selects New Principal and Assistant Principal

SAN TAN VALLEY, ARIZ. - The J.O. Combs Unified School District is pleased to announce that two new administrators have been selected to join the leadership team at Combs High School for the upcoming school year.
Tayna Loftis, Principal

Loftis joins Combs with more than 14 years of administration experience in public education. Currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Skyline High School in Mesa, AZ, Loftis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from University of Phoenix. Prior to her experience in administration, Loftis worked extensively supporting special education and CTE programs with the Apache Junction Unified School District for over 20 years. "I am eager and excited to join the family at Combs High School and feel fortunate to have the privilege of working with the current staff, students, and community," said Loftis. "I love everything this community has to offer young people as they grow and step into their future. This is a great place for students to begin and I feel lucky to be a part of it." 
April Kutchinski, Assistant Principal

Kutchinski started her career in public education in 2012 and currently serves as the Dean of Students at Payne Junior High School in Chandler, AZ. Kutchinski holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Northern Central College and Master of Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. In addition to six years as a special education teacher, Kutchinksi served as the Special Education Department Chair at Hamilton High School as well as on several leadership committees prior to joining Combs. "I am looking forward to being a part of the wonderful community within the J.O Combs Unified School District," she said. "My number one goal is student success and I am excited to continue my passion with students, staff and administration at Combs High School."
"The knowledge and experience that Tayna and April bring to Combs High School will be critical in continuing our work to ensure success for every student, every day," said Dr. Gregory A. Wyman, Superintendent. "Their passion and commitment to support students is unmatched, and I encourage our community to join me in welcoming them to the Combs family."
