CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION

Beginning Sunday, January 12, 10am, Gathering Room


Confirmation is understanding membership in the Methodist church and the Wesleyan Theological perspective. It is open to anyone 6th grade and up, including adults. If you are interested in participating in Confirmation this year, please join Pastor Joel at 10:00am Sunday mornings this Spring.

CED EARLY ENROLLMENT OPEN TO CHURCH MEMBERS

Enrollment for the 2025-2025 school year at Children's Enrichment Days is now open to the AUMC church family! Please visit the CED website to print and fill out the registration form. Any questions should be directed to Jayne Dawson, CED Director. The registration form and fee must be returned to CED as soon as possible, as enrollment will be open to the public beginning Tuesday, January 28th.

AUMC BLOOD DRIVE

NEW ANXIETY SUPPORT GROUP

Begins February 2, 12:30pm, Gathering Room



Join Pastor Joel to discuss curriculum and goals for our new Anxiety Support Group. The group will meet once a month following the 11:00 service. Lunch will be provided.

FAITH 'N MOTION FITNESS

Wednesdays, 9am, Upstairs in Education Building


Join Faith 'N Motion, a Christian-inspired fitness class for adults, at its new time, Wednesday mornings at 9am. Bring water and your exercise mat, and come check it out! For more information, contact Sarah Rives at Sarahrives@att.net.

CAN YOU HELP?


We have a wonderful and dedicated team of ushers, but we need more volunteers for both services. This involves being friendly, arriving 15 minutes before the service, handing out bulletins, recognizing new faces, collecting the offering and picking up pew pads after the service. On the job training is available! ADULT MISSION TRIP

February 16-20, 2025


The Mission Center in Conroe, a mission of the Texas Conference, responds to natural disasters and homelessness with pre-assembled kits that serve immediate needs. They include adult and child backpacks, feminine hygiene kits, and flood buckets.


If you would like to be part of this critical mission, please join us for four days of assembling kits in Conroe.

  • February 16-20
  • Work in a climate-controlled building
  • No trip fee; individual expenses include hotels, gas and meals
  • Deadline to sign up is February 2, or when the team is filled

MEN'S WINTER RETREAT - SAVE THE DATE!

February 21-22, Glen Lake Camp


Mark your calendars for the annual AUMC Fellowship of Men's Winter Retreat February 21st and 22nd at Glen Lake Camp. This event offers the chance to spend time with other men in our church, enjoy delicious food, and work on some necessary projects at the camp. Arrive any time after 3pm on Friday. We will have dinner together at 7pm, followed by a short devotional by Pastor Joel. Saturday morning after breakfast, we will work on projects around the camp, enjoy lunch together, and return home around 3 or 4pm. Cost of lodging and meals is $55. Sign up at the Connection Center.

MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST

Mondays, 7:30am, MAC Center



Men, start your week with a brief devotional, led by David Stubbs. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

BOB BULL'S COAT DRIVE

December 8 through February 2



Through February 2nd, we will be collecting gently-used coats to be distributed by Beautiful Feet in Fort Worth. All sizes are needed, children through adult! Please make sure coats are clean and in “working order."


*To date, we have collected 64 adult coats, 13 child coats, and 17 miscellaneous items for the homeless of our community.

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing daily challenges.


  • Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
  • Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month
  • Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - offer compassionate and confidential prayer, support, and encouragement
