Become & Multiply
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink..."(John 7:37). Jesus is calling each of us to come and find living water for our thirsty souls. The women at Alliance are seeking Christ together in several discipleship opportunities! This past week we launched both Blueprint and Bible study and had such a sweet, rich time together. If you missed it, join in this week! I am overly excited at what God has in store for us as he draws us to himself this Fall. Sisters, we can't wait for you to come and join us on our journey to know Jesus and make him known to the world around us!"

-Shawna Duvall, Women's Ministry Director
SPOTLIGHT
Spiritual Formation Workshop
Sunday, September 26 | 3-5pm
How To Disciple Someone – At the end of Matthew’s gospel, Jesus gave the church a clear and simple instruction: Go and make disciples. This is an essential duty in the Christian life. But how do you actually disciple another person? This workshop will explore a few practical issues in discipling another person: How do you start a discipleship relationship? What do you talk about when you meet? And how can you replicate this with the person you are discipling?

Seasonal Jobs with Operation Christmas Child
For many people, a seasonal job can come in quite handy, especially over the holidays. “A seasonal job with an eternal purpose” that helps share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with children is even better! Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child is looking for people to work in our Boone warehouse this Fall. We are looking for people who have a relationship with Christ and support the mission of Operation Christmas Child: To create Gospel opportunities for children through the delivery of gift boxes. Hiring is taking place for a variety of jobs, including customer service and warehouse associates. Positions include Team Coaches, Greeters, Inventory Coordinators, Forklift Operators, and Switch Drivers. We are always in particular need of folks able to load and unload trucks (lifting about 50 pounds). Please consider this valuable work and pass the word to friends and family! To apply, see Samaritan.org/careers.

Learn and Maintain Greenery
If you're interested in volunteering on Saturdays from 9:30am-1:30pm (sporadic Saturdays), to help maintain the church grounds, keep the weeds under control, re-mulch certain places as needed, and work on landscaping the beds around the church, please contact Stewart Penick 828.265.6189 or email stewartpenick77@gmail.com. This is also an opportunity to learn about greenery and maintaining church grounds.

This year, we will discuss Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy: Discovering the Grace of Lament by Mark Vroegop. Participants do not need to read the book to participate. A Christ centered group for people living with chronic illness. Find lasting community and fellowship in a safe place where you can lament and be encouraged through God’s Word and the support of others with chronic illness. Our mission is to instill hope through Scripture that we are “More Than” anything we may face (Romans 8:35-37). Contact Amanda Cottrell at cottrellag@gmail.com for more details and to sign up to receive notifications for the meetings.
