Winter Ball

Formal Dance

Dances are back! Join us at Carver for an enchanting evening in a Winter Wonderland. Enjoy refreshments, dancing, music and don't forget to dress up! This is an inclusive program, but Adaptive Recreation staff will be there to supervise participants.

Water Aerobics

  • Smith Aquatic & Fitness Center
  • Registration is free, but you will have to pay the daily admission rate at the front desk of Smith Aquatic & Fitness Center each time you attend ($1.00 for City residents, $2.00 for non City residents).



Join us for a workout in the pool and lots of fun.

Our Tuesday class with Neeve will be a higher aerobic, HIIT style class.

Our Monday Class with Mildred will incorporate more stretching and less cardio moves.

Participants needing assistance changing in the locker rooms, or getting in and out of the pool must come with support, as staff will not be available to assist.

Sign Language I

Happy New Year! Did you make a resolution to try something new? If so, our sign language class is perfect for you! Join us for 8 weeks of learning and practicing basic sign language. This is a level 1 class and must be completed in order to take level 2.

Adaptive Fitness

This fitness class will combine cardio, strength and flexibility for a total body workout! Be sure to wear workout attire and bring a mat and water.

Book Club is back in person! Join us the last Wednesday of the month at Northside Library as we read a story together and complete an activity. This program is free, but please register so we make sure we have an accurate number of materials available.

Social Hour 

Fridays, January 6 & 20, 5:00 pm

Join friends to catch up and socialize! Staff will lead discussions with a question that everyone will take turns answering and there will also be time for everyone to chat. 


Movie Watch Party

Monday & Fridays, 11:00 am

Starts January 9

Get your popcorn ready! Join our virtual watch party and discussion afterward.


Book Club

Wednesdays, 4:00 pm

January 11 & 18

Join us as we read a story to the group and afterwards have a discussion.


Fitness Class

Thursdays, 2:00 pm

Starts January 12

Work up a sweat and stay in shape at home! We will do cardio and weight exercises. Be sure you have weights handy! Dumbbells, water jugs, soup cans…. You need 2 items that are similar in weight.


Stretching and Meditation with Maya

Mondays, 5:00 pm

Starts January 23

Take time to stretch and relax with different poses and enjoy time to meditate at the end.


Cooking Class

Wednesday, January 18, 5:30 pm

Calling all chefs! Join Gina to make a meal and enjoy with friends. Recipe will be sent before the class.


Supper Club

Tuesday, January 24, 5:00 pm

Make a dinner or order take out and eat together with friends for a social hour! Please have you meal ready when you log on.
