What: CEO and Region V Director to speak at CICA Annual Convention

 

When: Registration starts at 8 a.m. MDT, Sat., July 22; Reg. V Director to speak at noon and CEO to speak at 2:30 p.m.

Description: The Colorado Independent CattleGrowers Association or CICA, an R-CALF USA affiliate organization, will hold its 2023 Annual Convention on Saturday, July 22. Saturday’s activities will take place at the Oxford Grange #482, located at 8018 Hwy 172, in Ignacio, Colorado.

 

Registration will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The morning session will feature committee breakdowns, resolution discussions and a presentation by Lora Bledsoe, DVM. After lunch, R-CALF USA Region V Director Shad Sullivan will give his “War on Meat” presentation. Followed by R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard’s presentation at 2:30 p.m. Saturday’s events will conclude with a business meeting, social hour and a prime rib dinner served at 6:30 p.m.

 

On Friday, July 21, CICA has arranged a tour of the Vallecito Dam. Attendees can meet for the tour at 1 p.m. at Bayfield High School, located at 800 County Road 501, in Bayfield, Colorado. Following the dam tour, attendees will meet at the Junction West Vallecito Resort, located at 13030 County Road 501, in Bayfield, Colorado, for the “Leaving a Legacy” presentation by Craig and Amanda Korth. A dinner by Bonds Beef will be served featuring hamburgers and various sides.

 

Convention preregistration is $65, after July 11 registration increases to $100. View the event agenda and registration form here. The convention is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
