REGISTRATION FOR SUNDAY EUCHARIST: Masses are offered on Sundays at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 5:00 PM in The Chapel at Windermere on the Mount (1486 Richmond Street). Please be advised that it is now expected that those 12-years-old and older who are attending Mass at Christ the King University Parish be fully vaccinated. This is in alignment with King's University College's vaccine policy which we must follow. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult. If you are coming to Mass, it is essential that you register in advance either online or by phone. If you learn at the last minute that you cannot come, please go online and cancel your reservation, so that space can become available for others who would like to attend. For further information please contact Maija Wilson.
DAILY MASS takes place in Christ the King Chapel in Wemple Building on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12 noon. Seating is extremely limited. Pre-registration is required by contacting Lisa Caeiro or 519-963-1477. If you are confirmed as an attendee, you will receive and email indicating so. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination upon arrival.
We will continue to livestream Mass for the duration of the pandemic to our Facebook page and YouTube channel on Sundays at 11:00 am. You can find the current YouTube link on our website or under the "Week at a Glance" section of this bulletin.

Ways to Celebrate the Holidays

STEP INTO CHRISTMAS is our Christmas initiative in conjunction with our outreach program at the St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre. We invite you to fill shoeboxes with new waterproof gloves/mitts, new hats, wool socks, new toiletries and other items for those who are in need. Empty boxes and items not in boxes are welcome. Boxes will be distributed to people during our December 11, 2021 visit at the St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre. Unwrapped shoeboxes can be left at the side altar under the statue of Mary between now and December 5, 2021.
STEP INTO CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PARTY: Preparation of the shoeboxes will take place in stages in the parish hall. We are in need of people to help sort shoeboxes on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. We will have groups of people in shifts assist wrapping these gift boxes: Tuesday, December 7 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Wednesday, December 8 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM; Thursday, December 9 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM; and on Friday, December 10 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. If you are able to volunteer at any of these times, contact Annette Donovan Panchaud. All participants must adhere to the university's COVID protocol and show proof of vaccination.
ADVENT DRIVE FOR YOUNG FAMILIES: For Advent, our faith community will be welcoming donations of diapers, clothing, sleepers and other items needed for the care of infants. Donations of new unwrapped gifts can be left at the side altar under the statue of St. Joseph by December 12, 2021. Your gifts will be given to the London Crisis Pregnancy Centre to assist families who struggle with the financial obligations of raising a child.
CHILDRENS ADVENT PARTY: The Children’s Advent Party will take place virtually on December 12, 2021 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. It's fun for the whole family as we learn how to prepare our hearts for the Lord’s Birth. Enjoy some hot cocoa and treats as we enjoy some time together! Contact Maija Wilson to register.

FAMILY FUN KITS FOR ADVENT: The Diocese of London is offering a free resource is prepared by parish Coordinators of ministry with young people and families, in partnership with the department of Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry. The Kit includes online and offline resources to engage the whole family in the liturgical year (Advent). A free downloadable version may be ordered here. Christmas Kits will be available on the Fourth Sunday of Advent. For more information about Advent and Christmas Kits, or how to offer physical Kits in your parishes, please contact Alexandria Fung, Family and Youth Ministry Specialist, at familyandyouthministry@dol.ca.
JOURNEY THROUGH ADVENT: The CCCB will release a video recording of a bishop reflecting on the Gospel Reading for each Sunday during Advent. This year’s reflections were inspired by the Indigenous Delegation travelling to Rome to meet with Pope Francis from December 17 to 20, 2021. Each reflection is based on one of the five essential stages of reconciliation: examen, confession, repentance, reparation (making amends), and reconciliation. Please find the link here.

We acknowledge that King’s University College is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Attawandaron peoples,
on lands connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish
with One Spoon Covenant Wampum.
This land continues to be home to diverse Indigenous peoples whom we recognize as contemporary stewards of the land and vital contributors of our society.
