Improving Bailintin Makes Stakes Debut in Nellie Morse

Claimed for $20,000 out of a third-place finish by trainer Rudy Sanchez-Salomon on Nov. 1, Florida-bred Bailintin has had a consistent ascent through racing conditions since. The 4-year-old daughter of Girvin makes her stakes debut Saturday at Laurel in the $100,000 Nellie Morse among six fillies and mares, 4-years-old and older, set for the mile-and-a-sixteenth.

The Jockey Club Announces Naming AI Tool

BY THE JOCKEY CLUB PRESS OFFICE


The Jockey Club today introduced Naming AI, a new tool designed to assist customers with naming their horses.


Naming AI enables users to generate five or 10 name options with a choice of one, two, or three-word names. Customers can use the tool to generate names based on words of their choosing or based on a foal’s pedigree.

Strangles Confirmed in Marion County

According to the Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), a private facility in Marion County, Florida has been placed under official quarantine by the FDACS as of Feb. 9 due a horse testing positive for strangles. Seven other horses have been exposed.
