Business Mentoring for Volusia Businesses

Get FREE business mentoring with SCORE

SCORE offers FREE business mentoring from experienced business leaders and business owners. Meetings can be conducted via phone call, video chat, or email! Services will include developing business strategies, generating a business plan, creating a marketing plan, and leveraging other technical processes. Want to meet in person? SCORE is also available to walk-ins for counseling sessions and mentorship from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays on the second floor of Ormond Beach City Hall.

SCORE's network of certified mentors can provide expert guidance to nearly any challenge your business is facing. The Volusia/ Flagler has more than 25 seasoned volunteers with real-world experience in owning and running their own small businesses or serving as managers/consultants for large corporations.

Where Can I Find Funding for My Small Business

This workshop will cover five methods of product pricing with step-by-step instructions on how to implement them.

The methods discussed will include:

- Value Added Pricing

- Cost Plus Pricing

- Modified Cost Plus Pricing

- Competitive Pricing

- Value Based Pricing

We will also discuss how to combine some of these methods to determine a specific price and sales volume while generating a profit amount that you specify as part of the process.

Volusia Business Resources is asking for your input! Complete the Annual Business Survey and ensure that our community's business needs get recognized!

Your input, along with that of other businesses in Volusia County, will be analyzed and used to strengthen existing resources and shape new programs in the coming year. Hundreds have responded to previous survey requests and provided valuable input that helped launch a new web-based business resource hub called Volusia Business Resources (VBR).

DeBaryNaturally.org, the City's eco-tourism website, highlights businesses that offer discounts and specials to trail users.

Want to be added? Email khewitt@debary.org with your business name, address, and discount for trail users. These businesses receive a "Trail Users Welcome" sticker to be easily identifiable to our visitors by trail!
