The Dakota County Legislative Reception has moved to February 8 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at the Pool and Yacht Club. Join us as we recognize and thank our Dakota County legislative delegation. This event provides an opportunity for the Dakota County business community to exchange ideas with elected officials on the best ways to ensure an economic climate for new investment and job creation in the region. Chamber Welcomes Taco John’s to Eagan
Chamber members and the City of Eagan celebrated Taco John’s opening in Eagan with a ribbon-cutting celebration. Mark Kocer, COO for Taco John’s, spoke about their excitement of being part of the community and how this is their 58th location in Minnesota. There are nearly 400 restaurants in 22 states – making it one of the largest Mexican quick-service restaurant brands in America.

Dakota Electric Announces Ryan Hentges as New CEO
Dakota Electric Association’s Board of Directors named Ryan Hentges as the next President and CEO of the member-owned electric distribution cooperative. Current President and CEO Greg Miller will retire in early April and has led the cooperative since 2001.

Director Retiring from Kids ‘n Kinship
After 30 years at Kids ‘n Kinship, Jan Belmore (Director) will be retiring. As she says, “It’s been a great experience, and it is time to slow life down a bit and hopefully start traveling more. It has been wonderful to have been a part of the Chamber and I am grateful for all the great people I have met, the staff at the Chamber or other members.” The Board is working with Propel for Nonprofits to ensure a smooth transition.
