WCYB Coverage of the
PGAJRL National Championship
"Eight junior golfers from the Tri-Cities will make history next month when they compete in the PGA Junior League National Championship.

The tournament takes place October 8-10 in Scottsdale, Arizona at Grayhawk Golf Club. The Tri-Cities team is one of 12 teams competing for the title of national champs.

This is the first team from the Tri-Cities region to qualify for this event. The team had to win a state and regional competition to advance to nationals. 'It means a lot. We had to work really hard for this," said Conner Brummitt.

Over 63,000 kids started the season on a PGA Junior League golf team and now that it's down to 12 teams, only 96 golfers remain for golf's version of the Little League World Series.'

The team features two First Tee students: William Carrier (Ace) and Linfan Li (Eagle). See the full coverage here.
