WE WISH YOU THE GREATEST OF THE HOLIDAYS! | |
While Thanksgiving has now passed (and we hope you are all able to take some time and relax this weekend) we wanted to remind you that December 3rd is GivingTuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving where you support your local non-profit organizations (as opposed to Black Friday.)
The ACA is a member-supported organization which offers guidence, seminars, workshops and networking opportunities for artist members in the Newport County. Our key tasks are to help guide the interconnection between creative or cultural contributors and various opportunities presented by businesses, schools, donors, audiences, events, commissions, and other opportunities.
If you are a current member of the ACA, thank you for your continued support. We hope you will remember us this holiday season to make an additional donation to help grow our artist awards, scholarships, and grants.
If you are not a member currently, we hope you will become a supporter by the end of the year so we can expand our programing, continue informing the community of the Newport County art news, and help grow our outreach to a greater audience.

AND DON'T FORGET ALL OUR ARTIST, GALLERY, BUSINESS, AND ORGANIZATION MEMBERS THIS WEEKEND! SUPPORT NEWPORT COUNTY'S SMALL BUSINESSES AND BUY LOCALLY WHEN YOU CAN!

No Place Like Home
Through Dec. 21st
Thoughts of Home,
an author reading:
December 7th, 4 pm
"No Place Like Home", a fundraising art exhibition featuring works from 47 local and regional artists. Running from November 16 through December 21, 2024, the exhibit explores the theme of “home,” prompting reflections on comfort, safety, and belonging while advocating for those in need of shelter.
All works in the exhibition are available for purchase. Fifty percent of all proceeds will directly benefit two local organizations dedicated to ending homelessness: the Rhode Island Coalition to End Homelessness and the Newport Housing Hotline. (The other fifty percent will go to the artist.)
Come for the opening reception on Saturday, November 16th, 3-5 pm. Meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, participate in a raffle, and engage with the artwork. It will be a celebration of art, community, and a shared commitment to supporting those impacted by housing insecurity.
