President's Message
It’s hard to believe November is here, and 2021 will soon be coming to a close. The days are getting shorter and colder. The leaves are falling, and the holidays will be here before we know it. I’m sure many of us are looking forward to celebrating with our families in earnest this year after a very weird 2020 Holiday season. I’ve already had a few requests for my world-famous green bean casserole for Thanksgiving.

Like the seasons, we’re in a time of transition at WTS, too. Our officer elections are coming up, and as crazy as it seems having just had our banquet, nominations are underway for the chapter’s Annual Awards. I urge you all to participate in our upcoming chapter elections; we have some really great nominees. I also ask you to put some thought into nominating a great candidate for one of our six Greater D/FW Chapter Awards. Those nominations are due back to us by November 19.

Keep an eye on your inbox because we’re also in the process of scheduling our December Annual Meeting as well as working with our friends at COMTO to host a joint holiday party. Again, I cannot believe it’s that time already! Time does really fly when you’re not in lock down!

I hope you and your families have a safe, happy, and food-coma-inducing Thanksgiving. Let me know if you want that green bean casserole recipe 😉, and as always, thank you for everything you do.

Sincerely,
Brittney Farr, Esq.
President, Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter

These scholarships have been made possible through generous contributions from our corporate members.

Every year, the scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant’s specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills, and academic record. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Past applicants have backgrounds in civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering, as well as urban planning, public policy, public safety, and emergency response.
