The City of Chicago's Welcoming City Ordinance protects immigrant residents, regardless of their immigration status. The ordinance prevents City of Chicago agencies from inquiring about immigration status information, and importantly, guarantees that City of Chicago services are available to all individuals without discrimination based on immigration status.

The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) publishes the Public Passenger Vehicle Inspection Schedule on the City of Chicago’s Data Portal


  • BACP Public Vehicle Inspection Facility (2420 W. Pershing Road, Chicago, Illinois) scheduled inspections of taxi, livery, and ambulance vehicles are in an interactive format which allows searches by license/vehicle number, by company, or by affiliation.
  • The public on-line format inspection schedule is updated daily and displays current inspection dates and times.

Public Vehicle licensees are required to bring their licensed vehicles to scheduled vehicle inspections. Consequences for failing to bring vehicle for a BACP scheduled inspection include violation status, fines, and license suspension.


Public Vehicle license must be current and in good standing in order for the BACP inspection facility to inspect associated vehicle.

New parking rates in effect Feb. 1 at

Chicago's airports


The CDA has announced updated parking rates at O’Hare and Midway International Airports, effective Saturday, Feb. 1. This marks the first increase in on-airport parking costs since 2020. The modest changes vary depending on the lot or garage location and the duration of parking.
