In honor of Women’s History Month, on March 16 from 6-8 p.m. the Office of the Borough President will host a virtual celebration and conversation to honor women leaders of Queens in the fields of business, civics, social justice, health and art. The event is co-sponsored by LICP. RSVP here.

Ways to Help Ukrainians in Need - Ongoing

The Office of Queens Borough President Donovan Richards is collecting medical supplies to be donated to verified non-profits working on the ground in Ukraine. Passion and Ego Opening Reception - March 19

Studio Artego from LICP Member AYC Properties presents Passion and Ego, an exhibition of paintings and hand-cut paper work by three artists: John Mendelsohn, Gahae Park and Robert C. Morgan. Each artist's work focuses on geometric forms with circular forms, diagonal lines, and the stability of the square. Details.

Mayor Adams Economic Recovery Blueprint Released
|
To jumpstart our city’s economy, Mayor Eric Adams has released the visionary report “Renew, Rebuild, Reinvent: A Blueprint for New York City’s Economic Recovery.” The plan has five pillars for enhancing New York City’s economy. Long Island City is mentioned in the report for its life sciences cluster growth and is noted as a key neighborhood for exploration to support the development of additional space for jobs and commercial activity, while also addressing key infrastructure needs.
